Seasons wishes

The committee and coaches of TRIM AC would like to thank all those who
helped the club during the past year. We wish all our members and their
families a happy Christmas and good health in 2013.

Train with us

Meet and train Tues / Thurs 7.30pm at Castle St. Track
session 6.30pm Wed Claremont Stadium. Juveniles Boyne CS 6pm Monday. Other
sessions arranged during the week among club members including long runs
Sunday and Friday. REGISTRATION FOR 2013 will get underway in early January
at the resumption of juvenile indoor sessions. The senior registrations will
be at a venue to be decided in late January. The club is planning its
seasonal social for Sat. 5th January. Contact annptobin@gmail.com to book

Well done Hannah

Hannah Gilligan rounded off a great year of cross country when she finishing
third at the Cumann na mBunscoil cross country event at Bellewstown. Then on
Sunday 9th Dec she travelled to the national cross copuntry championships
day 2 at Adamstown Co Wexford. She was a membr of the very talented Meath
team which finsihed 3rd.

Inter Club relays

Well Done to the juvenile relay squads who took part in the inter club cross
country relays. The under 12 s ran 4x250m and the under 14s ran 4x500m.
The teams were as follows

County Senior cross country at Porchfields

Trim Athletic Club hosted the Meath senior cross country championships and
juvenile inter club relays.On  a day ideal for cross country running there
were some great performances n the Meath senior cross country championships.
The course which had all the right ingredients and gradients for
championship racing was in great condition for the final event of the
season. The mens race was over an eight kilometre course and thee womens
decider was over four kilometres.

In the senior mens race Darragh Rennicks returned from his Kansas college
for his county champiosnhip and carried the colours of Bohermeen with pride
to a third county senior title. He was a joy to watch powering out from the
gun in the company of Luke Forde, Dunboyne. He extended his lead in the mid
section of the race as Robbie Matthews, Dunshaughlin patiently worked his
way into the silver medal spot. The eventual third placed man Eoin Callaghan
continued his impressive return to competitive athletics by taking third and
leading his team mates Rob Tully, Andrew Coscoran and brother Neil Callaghan
from Star of the Sea to a great win in the team event.

In the womens event Fiona Mahon put in a storming performance score an
impressive win. Fiona recently returned to the  Meath club scene when she
joined Dunshaughlin AC.and led their team to the club title with Shauna
Moran, Linda Fahey and Shauna Moore. Emilia Dan, Dunboyne AC put in another
great run for second and club mate Karen O Hanlon took third spot.

town clerk Fiona Skehan and Trim Town Council for the use of the excellent
venue at the Porchfields

Trim AC  senior mens team was fifth in the Grade A competition. The team
were Sean Murphy,15th,Andrew Linsley,25th,Danny Byrne,31st,Joe
McNamara,35th,Conor Daniel,44th,Brian Cully,46th,Brendan Conway,47th,Stuart
Daniel,49th.
Trim AC senior womens team finished fifth with he following results Denise
Molloy,21,Trish Duffy,23rd,Suzanne Daniel,24th,Majella Thompson,25th,Niamh
Tuite,26th.

Don presents marathon procceds to CFI

In October Don Mahon was one of seventeen members of Trim AC who took part in the Dublin Marathon.
This year Don choose Cystic Fibrosis Ireland as his charity. He raised a total of €2650 in sponsorship for a cause which has a special significance for his family.
